Let's try this again (my very first post was moved) ops:

I'm looking for suggestions on my next step w/ my Rotel system. I have a RSX 1055 and a RCD 1070, which I bought about a month ago. The system is hooked up to a pair of Energy C9s. I'd like to get finish off the home theater and get a pair of rears and center channel, probably from Energy. However, I started reading posts in the forum and now I'm interested in buying a RB1070, since the system is mainly used for 2 channel. I'd love to have it all right now :hump: , but that's just not going to happen w/ my budget. I'd like to hear what others in my position (or similar) decided to do (or would do). Thanks.

This should probably be in the home theater area since you're asking about speakers but seeing how we moved your first post I'll cut you a break

I'd buy the rear speakers first then get the center channel. Adding these speakers to get surround sound will give you a much larger return on your buck then adding another amplifier.

      Andrew,

Well it is obvious I'm no good at posting properly. I was thinking that putting it in the Rotel forum might get me some answers on the value of taking a rotel amp over setting up the full surround sound. I think you answered that.

        Hey guys:

Big problem...my soon to be fiancee just bought her first house and the plan is for me to move in down the road. Ok, that's great but this is her first home and it is pretty small. I think a little over 1200 sq. ft. I was taking a look at the house the other night and realized...

        Natalie P vs Energy 22.3

        Hi all.

I would like to ask a question about the Natalie P. (This seemed like the place to do it.) I don't mean to highjack anything, I hope this fits. I have built the Natalie P plans, and have listened to them for a while. They are actually my dad's, and we have been comparing them...

I have a 1055 receiver. I have moved to new home with a larger HT room. I'm thinking I would like a little extra power...and along these lines I am considering adding a Rotel RB-1070 two channel amp to power my main speakers (Gallo Due'). Will the addition of this amp give the the extra power and headroom...

Adding a power amp to a receiver
        by Andrew Pratt
As more and more people look to upgrade their sound systems people often ask about adding a more powerful amp to their system. Quite often this obsession we like to call our "hobby" leads us on a quest to sonic nirvana. As a group we are frequently upgrading our speakers or source components...
