It would appear, that musical fidelity has listened and for those looking for a stereo amp in the M8 series can now consider the M8 500s. no doubt a stereo power amp in similar ilk to the m6 500i but a stereo power amp for those that thought the m8 700 was a bit too much

yes excellent to see mf bring it out. will make a welcome addition to the m8 range. I can see will suit many for whom the mono blocs too expensive or an extra box to fit in. will make a for a nice pairing to the m8 pre too I think

Hi All,

Being that it is the Bristol HiFi Show this weekend there are a lot of new product launches, one of them being Musical Fidelity’s brand new M8 stereo power amp which we took delivery of last week and yesterday I got a chance to have a good listen, needless to say it didn’t disappoint.

Musical Fidelity’s M8 Range of components gets nothing but stunning reviews with technology filtered down from their flagship Titan amp and bought to market at a more affordable price. I have to say that you have to admire the build quality of the M8 kit, it really is built like a tank and weighs an absolute tonne.

We have had the M8 Pre and 700 watt mono blocks on demo for some time now, but what the range really needed was a 2ch stereo M8 amp as not everyone wants or needs mono blocks, so please welcome the M8-500s stereo power amp, with 500 watts per channel into 8 ohms and almost doubles into 4 ohms, it is a fully balanced design which sounds extremely clean and neutral but very musical, just what you’d expect from MF and with 500 wpc will drive pretty much any speaker out there effortlessly.

Thanks to the M8-500s the M8 range will now become a possibility for more people thanks to its cheaper entry price and 2 box solution so please feel free to come in and have a listen to this excellent combination.
