Anyone else going for a Ref50 ? or possibley the 507 receiver ?

My Ref50 comes in Tuesday ! Powering this beast with one of B&K's new multichannel amplifiers. A Reference 200.5 (200 X 5)
    (crossing my fingers against delays)

Sorry Chip. Just spotted the thread.

I got cold feet after hearing about the 50. I was really hoping for more features. It seems like an upgrade to my existing unit will get me to where the new stuff is at. I was really looking for more room EQ features and component video upsampling/conversion from S and composite inputs.

The included remote should be a winner. MX700 I believe, with some talk of RF capability?

Hope you get yours soon. I'll even let you get it set up first before I ask for a demo.

I'm looking into a used 7250 amp if I can do the deal and feel comfortable about it. I've never bought used over the net from a private party before. I've heard of rip-offs so I'm wary.

Anyway, good luck with the new toys, when you get em!

            Pete,

There are some really good deals going on right now on the 7250 due to the rollout of the new line. Even locally. I doubt there's much difference between the 7250 and 200.5 except for cosmetics... i'm not positive. One thing i like about B&K amps is they support 4 Ohm speakers which pumps the wattage to 375 per channel. My main's are PSB Stratus Silveri's (4 Ohm). Should really kick nice even at low volumes.

Better give those puppies plenty of heat dissipation room, at 4 ohms she will run much hotter!

Chip, you sure your getting gear this year?

Full review required once you get a good feel for it. A short review not too long after you've set it up.

                            Well,

The amp came in but, the Ref50 didn't make it onto the truck Friday. On top of that, my pal that was assist. manager at the Tweeter i shop at was promoted and given his own store. My whole order has been redirected to the new location. Tuesday i'll grab everything. The only thing i'm not looking forward to is picking up and packing up the 5803. Damn things heavy!
