    Multi-channel input level settings

I need some help calibrating my system for DVD-A/SA-CD. I have an Integra 9.1U2 receiver, and a Pioneer DV-47A DVD player. When I play a DVD-A or SA-CD, I find the bass excessive unless I turn the sub down about -6 in the multichannel level settings. Why should this be if my sub was carefully calibrated through the set up menu? Do these settings not apply to the multichannel inputs? What is the best way to calibrate these inputs so what I am hearing is accurate?
    Thanks,

    Patrick

Welcome to the world of having a HT receiver! :sh: When you have a 2 channel stereo, once it is calibrated life is just sweet. 8) Unfortunately with these receivers these problems occur. I am not aware of the specs for your bass mangement system but most new receivers (Integras, Rotels etc)have a separate setting for each source so that you need not play around with the bass each and every time.

For calibration you have to play it by ear. For me I like my bass when I have a soundstage and not neccessarily thumping in my chest.

    Hope this helps!

The multi-channel input is a pass-through; no controls or settings (except volume) have any effect on the signals inputted there. Bass management, speaker distance and channel trim must all be done BEFORE the signals get to the RDC-7.

Not true. On the RDC-7 the bass and treble settings can be changed for the multi-channel input.

            Hello!

I need help from someone who really know how to set up a multichannel system...

I have used a sound pressure meter to adjust the soundpressure from all my speakers based on the noise generation in both my dvd player (when using 7.1 channel) and the noise generation...

I've had my setup for just about a year now and I'm amazed I'm just finding this out.

Ever since I bought my Yamaha RX-V2600 and Deftech 7002's I've been disappointed in the 2 channel audio. I have the match center and rears also.

It always sounded hollow and lacking bass....

I own a Rotel RSX-1055 in whch I performed the bass/resister fix last year. I use JM Labs Chorus 715 (set at large for fronts) I have JM 706's for rears set at small) and A DefTech TL15+ as the sub. Everything has been calibrated using AVIA.

Now the question. I don't feel I need to...

Sub Setttings - Lack of Bass

Hello. I have a couple of questions regarding the settings for the sub on the 1068 pre/pro.

I currently have my M&K VX-860 250 watt sub volume level set at Reference and also set to bypass its crossover settings in favor of the pre/pro. On the 1068 I have the crossover set...
