    What A Difference This Makes

I'm waiting for my digital cables to come in the mail, for now I only have a dvd connected with component video cable and RCA Composite audio cable. But I'm in analog heaven. I have an old pair of Pioneer CS-T6100 rated at 240 watts max, made in the early 90's and sold in the Military PX then. They are four way with a large subwoofer 12inch or 14inch (I must measure when i get home). I have the Cinepro 3K6 amp, These speaker with this setup is just unbelievable, I don't know how to do very much with my RDC7 yet, but I did a good job with these speakers. No way am i going to get rid of these speakers. The wife did not like the show of wear and tear on them,( which game me the go ahead to purchase new speaker for our new house :-) but as her and her friends and family listen to them, they all ask " is that your new speaker system", this system has won her over. I was running these speakers on a Tech Receive rated at 25 watts by 5 or something. I ordered the Klipsch RF7's surround system a few weeks ago. I might put them up for sale :-) . . . just joking

I cann't wait to see what this system will do with digital connections. . . especally with your helping me fine tune everything . . . I'm loving it. . . must play some music everyday now.

        Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone picked up a Sony Hap-z1es? I messed around with the HAP-S1, did n't use the internal amps as I have my own setup and thought it was a fantastic Unit. The APP is also very good and transferring music is a breeze.

Breaking with modern conventions - a highly musical 2-way system using an 8" woofer
        by theSven
        By Jon Hancock

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...

Looking for a system $1000-$1500 price range.
        by maseline_98
My buddy's g/f has asked me to find her a "small system"(she lives in a "small" condo) for around $1000-$1500. I saw in the best buy ad today that they paired a Yammi receiver(HTR-5840) w/ some Klipsch Quintet IIIs for $1000. I'm not a real fan of HT in a box, but those seem like...

        One week into new system.

These pieces have been discussed frequently here, but for new or potential new users, here is my experience:

I was running HT with a Yamaha RX-V2600 and Klipsch RF-7 mains, etc (see sig line). I had volume but a "thinnish" sound. Help from here and from the Klipsch forum...
