    B&K 7 Channel Users

What number of channels are you selecting when playing back non ex/es material?

Do you like surround 5,6, or 7?

I've tried surround 7 and when dvds are flagged es/ex it kicks it over to surround 6 automatically.

I've also tried surround 6 and force a matrix surround back on all material with adequate results. Some material closes up the surrond sound field.

I'm just curious what other B&K users are doing.

Surround Sound Satori -- please help me get more!
    by cdwitmer
First my main question: If my main goal is to listen to music in 5.1 surround, and HT is only a distant second in importance, do I still need to go out and purchase closely matched speakers? Or will it be fine to cobble together various pairs of speakers large and small that I already have on hand?...
