It will eliminate one AD and one DA conversion, so yes, the difference is night and day. You move from 3 lossy conversions to just one lossy conversion.
Whether you can hear it or not is another issue... However, since you opted to pay the double for the 95 instead of getting the 93, then the logical choice is to go with a P7.- Bottom

I thought the C2 had 7.1 pure analogue bypass. so no DA- AD conversion- Bottom

That's right. It does have an analog bypass. Not so sure about the "pure" though. I think that's what the P7 is all about

I would get the P7, unless you can get a C2 for less. Also note that the analog bypass only works with the balanced (XLR) on the C2, but if your amps have balanced connectors you're probably going to use that anyway...- Bottom

The C2 bypass only works with the balanced analogue (XLR/Cannon connectors). It does not work for the unbalanced analogue (RCA/Phono connectors). So if you wish to use the C2, you need to make sure your connections are all XLR, also on the amplifier side. No RCA plugs. It won't work.Originally posted by nuckythe C2 works with the 7.1 analogue inputs for bypass as well
Also, I'm pretty sure the C2 bypass only passes through LEFT+RIGHT channels, not all channels. That's why the P7 is the better choice.- Bottom

by Chris DQuite a thread title, I guess. Perhaps I should subtitle it, "or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb... I mean, theater."
As the title says, I've added HDMI 1.3 audio decoding to my home theater, centered around the Parasound C1 home theater controller. As...-

by Chris DThis is kinda cool. The USB feature is really interesting--automatically converts to a digital audio file?

by DrBoomWell, it's been almost 2 months now that I've lived with both my Rotel RSP1098 and my Parasound C2 and the time for deciding which I'm going to keep is almost at hand.(not that I HAVE to decide now for some reason, but I'd hate to end up with 2 processors permanently)
I actually own both of them,...-

by JonMarshBecause I'm a pretty hard core video nut at heart, as well as more than a little out in left field on the audio side, I'm not generally one to get worked up over Pre-Pro's - most don't offer a combination of technology that hit's on all cylinders for me... 7.1 or 9.1 or whatever doesn't really count...-

by Chris DWell, lookie here: I think we just found the first "official" information on Parasound DVD players. It looks like the rumors were true after all!
First, the printed info: The December 2003 issue of DVD Etc has a "DVD Player Buyer's Guide" in the back, that seems to...-
