    JC2 Gain

In the manual it says to keep the gain clockwise so its out of the circuit but when i go clockwise it gets to loud and when I have them turned off the other way to 0 it sounds like the gain is taken out. which is the right way all the way to the left or right for taking them out of the circuit?

    Mike -

All the way to the right. I've owned the JC 2 for two years now. I've used that setting from the get go with no problems. I hope this helps.

thanks for the reply the only thing is when it is all the way to the right Im lucky to hit 930 on the volume dial and found with them all the way to the left its a little more tame but missing some magic then. Trade off I guess and would have to blame my CD player Cyrus 8SE

9:30 sounds about right. That's the way it was with my 80's Technics SU-A200 & SE-A100 combo too. Perfectly normal.
