New Classic 2250 worth buying at what price?

Hello, I have some inefficient 83db speakers and have followed PS quite a bit. I see everyone loving their Halo models but not much on the NC line especially on the 2250.
Opinions please on their sonic character and is $500 too much for one used?

Are your speakers 8 or 4 ohms? If they are 4 ohms, you'd probably want to go with nothing less than an A21...

Hi Peter,
Thiel CS3.6 loudspeakers that typically are 4 ohm and sometimes lower.
I am currently borrowing a McCormack DNA225 and there is no debate the Thiels want current. Was using an Arcam AVR350 at 120 wpc and they sounded thin in the mids and lows. The DNA225 filled out these voids quite nicely.
The reason I ask about the 2250 is a local person has a very nice one for sale for $500 which is half the price of the McCormack.
So, is the price/performance ratio good for a 2250 and is the 2250 worth $500? I cannot locate any used pricing on the 2250 so am asking the Parasound forum for advice on this.
