Like I mentioned previously with the advent of DPL IIz several months ago, (see discussion thread here: http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php4?t=33066) technology keeps marching on, even though the new processors are delayed. So whenever the C3 and other new processors are finally ready for release, Parasound will either have to re-make them to incorporate the new technologies, or release an out-dated product. How long before a product becomes obsolete?
HDMI 1.4 looks fairly cool, with extended resolutions, 3-D capability, etc. It's going to take quite a long time for products to start incorporating those capabilities, though, and for many of them, you're talking some major changes to multiple components. (cables, video display, player, processor) And any processor with HDMI 1.3 won't be able to make a small change to be 1.4 capable. It's going to take a massive re-work of the internal hardware--whole new model.
