leave amp on or turn off?

I have an older 1206 that I use for my home theater and have read that it is best to leave solid state amps on all the time. Is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Brian.

I know its very true for Class A as they sound best at their proper tempature. I'm sure its somewhat true for others as well though.

      Leave On or Turn Off
      by Stockinv
A just installed a new HT with B&W speakers and McIntosh 500w amps.
I'm listening to music in the morning and perhaps in the early afternoon and then at night. I'm constantly turning the system on and off. Is this harmful?
Should I just leave it on all day and turn it off at night?...

      by Ossi
I currently have a HCA 2003 that I am using since some years already for the front 3 channels in my system. As I us this system for stereo listening as well, I though of going biamping as my speaker offer this approach. So I though of selling die HCA 2003 and buy a HCA 1206.
      From experience...

Do you leave your Amp on ?
      by Herbonbay
A question for everyone. Do you leave your amp on? If so, whats your reasoning? Generally , once I turn mine on, I leave it on all day, assuming that start up and shut down creates more stress than sitting on and idle. I also like the fact that it's always warm and ready. I often wonder if I should...
