Halo Remote Programming for Dummies

Anything like this out there? I know I could come up with some workable macros through trial and error, but the "trial" part takes too long, I don't like the error part, and I want it programmed yesterday.

I have been able to import/learn commands for most of my equipment, but I want a macro that will change the audio input on my C2, and set the video mode on the tv when I select either the Xbox or Cable box.

Also, how do you program the "Favorites"?

I've been wanting to write a "how-to" guide for many things about Halo remote programming, but just haven't gotten around to it. (imagine that) But in general, you won't find a basic, straightforward, "do this, do that" guide to 1-2-3- set you up. That's the beauty of the MX-700 remote control... it's got SO many possibilities and capabilites, that you really need to get familiar with it to get it just they way you want. Universal Remote suggests that the MX-700 be programmed by a professional installer, it's so powerful.

But if you want instructions, just read the set that came with your unit, and/or download the tutorial, which I think is on URC's website.
