Any information on future HDMI Implementation?

Does anyone have ideas as to what Parasound will be doing with future HDMI formats? I am close to purchasing the Z-switcher, but am hesitant for once HDMI 1.3 becomes available, will my Classic 7100 be able to make use of it?

Hays, HDMI 1.3 was just released about 3 days ago, and so far, I haven't seen anything to indicate that the Zhd would not be able to handle it. It's nothing unexpected, really. I've got a call in to Parasound, though, to verify that the Zhd really is 1.3 compliant, as expected, now that it's released.

I think the real question you're asking, though, is if Parasound is going to do anything with the HDMI 1.3 protocol, to add HDMI functionality to their pre/processors themselves, specifically the ability to receive and decode audio transmitted over HDMI. On that, no, we don't have any indication, that's the honest answer. My gut feel, though, is that Parasound WILL be adding it, probably with an upgrade to the Titan platform, but it is going to take a long, long time to be released.

Thanks Chris! You hit the nail on the head. I was trying to get the words out and could not type my thoughts...I am hoping for an input/output on the processor to then take full advantage of the switcher + preamp.
