Did you plan on bi-amping the speakers, or why two A23s?

FYI, the A23 cannot drive a 6 ohm speaker in bridged mode.

After reading the specs, I would say that two A-23s are not adequate. If you want to bi-amp, you should go with a A21+A23 combo. The OML-2 biamping is very scewed. The low range amp needs to drive both the woofer and midrange. The high range amp only needs to drive the tweeter. Thus, a much smaller amp is sufficient for the high range.

With that low sensitivity, you might want a pair of JC1s though...

When bi-amping you can use a powerful and less expensive amplifier for the lows, and a less powerful but more refined amplifier for the highs. For instance a solid state amplifier for the woofer and a tube amplifier for the tweeter.

Ideally, though, the internal passive crossover in the speaker should be removed.

Peter is right, passive bi-amping (i.e., using the passive crossover inside the speaker) is a waste of money.

If you are dying to bi-amp for some reason, actively bi-amp. Otherwise, buy the A21.

If cost really isn't a concern, just buy two JC1's and be done with it.

Peter thanks a lot, that is a huge information wooo! for the time i drive the lows with a musical fidelity a-300(indergrated amp) and the mid-high with a-23.I am very pleased with the sound but thinking if i ´m going for the a-21 and a good pre-amp will be better?Recently expirience was two weeks with classé cp-50 and ca-2200,great sound very inside music, colorfull sound(minus lots of money) but when i hear the halo a-23 i was attracted and hooked with the sound of this low price amp and start to make dreams of the highest range. Sorry the Jc-1s are out of my budget althouth in my country they selling with cool price. For the end worth to spent so much money for upgrading or must stay here where i am and spent for buying music?

                A51 and A21 amplifiers vs. A52 and A23
                by Chris D
This is something I'm hung up on. Of course, I would love to have 7 JC-1 mono amps, one for each home theater channel, (talking 2 rear surround speakers, just to be clear) but just don't have the funds. In choosing whether to go with the A51 and A21 for a total of 7 channels, or the A52 and A23, it's...

Can the A21 drive 2 ohm loads?
                by MarkAR9LS
                Hi,

I've been lurking for a while now and thought it was time to step out of the shadows.

I was wondering if the Halo A21 amp could realistically drive a 2 ohm load.

                I have a pair of AR-9LS speakers (4 way 5 drivers) that I plan to tri-amp (via a DEQX...

                Halo A21 vs Krell 3250/2250
                by devaio
                Hi all!
I'm a bit of a newbie in the Audiophile world so apologies for my crude description of my listening experience but here goes.

I have just purchased a Halo A23 to drive my dynaudio focus 220's. Out of the box my heart sank as I found the sound way too bright for my liking...

                I already have C2/A52 - do I have to get an A23?
                by cameronl
hi there all, I have the C2/A52 pair driving a Quad L speaker system (21L/Center/12L).

I've been told (and read on these forums) that I should get the A23 for driving my 21L's as it would match the best.

Now, the A23 is much cheaper than the A21 and the 21L's do sound...

Matching my center amplifier with Parasound Halo A21 front!!???
                by kmtkwong
                Hello Everyone,

I am deciding on which amp to get for my center channel. I have Energy Veritas 2.3i powered by Parasound A21 and the rest by my denon 5800 receiver. I am slowly moving towards separate components. I am thinking about A23 or HCA 2200mkII or A51 which i think is too expensive...
