Holy cow is that an incredible price. Boy now i wish I had not bought the 7100 for $2,194 a few months ago. The 7100 is beautiful but the C2 is on whole other level. Man I wish I had waited. What an awesome price huh? Its a B-stock but it was totally chacked by Parasound technicians and come with full warranty. Great deal if you ask me. J.H.

That is dealer cost for a brand new one. I picked mine up for $1600 from a dealer who took it in on trade-in. The dealer is a friend of mine and knew I wanted one so he gave me a call about it. He sold it new to the customer several months earlier. The customer was selling the house and moving and wanted to start over in the new home so he had the same dealer take it all back and give him credit towards the new system in the future home. Must be nice. Either way, I scored the Halo C2 that I wanted for dirt cheap. I was going to go with the 7100 for $1850 until this fell into my lap. I am tempted by the Parasound C2, but question whether this may be a lateral move from my Rotel RSP 1068. Any one listen to both the Parasound C2 and Rotel RSP 1068 and have an opinion on relative performance?
I currently have a Rotel RSP1068, Parasound A51 and A21 amps and Von Schweikert speakers. My listening is 50/50 home theater and music.Comment

I agree, give the sponsor a chance to beat it. If he can't, go with the other guys. But at least give him the chance to be the one who sells it to you. He is paying money to keep the site going and deserves to get something in return. You might even get a better deal anyways.Parasound Halo C2

I am working on a system for my next projects work apartment. I was considering ether a Parasound 7100 processor or the Halo C2. I know the 7100 lacks balanced outputs, but that isn't in issue for the second system since I won't have balanced amps. Beyond that, are there any significant differences... -
Can anyone recommend a good Classe dealer in the NY/NJ area? A dealer with all the attributes of being a "Good dealer" i.e. fair price, will listen to a customer needs vs telling the customer what they need. Good show room with a decent set of speaker choices preferably B&W.

I was at my local dealer's today to pick my 750 sub to round out my 700 series HT and was part of a discussion between a sales associate (not mine) and a customer who was bringing his 603's back to replace them w/ a bookshelf pair due to WAF.

I recently purchased a 7100 controller and love it but as all us crazy HT people are I'm wondering what is the difference between the 7100 and the C2? Would it be an enormous difference in sound quality? Or to get an enormous difference i would have to go to the C1? I am curious because a friend asked...
