I have the Parasound 7100 and an older HCA-1205A but I'm thinking of going with the NC 5250 amp. What do you guys think of this move? What will going from 140 watts per channel to 250 watts per channel give me in terms of sound? What is the sound quality of this amp in general? Thanks J.H.
Thinking about buying the 5250?

I think that would be a very good move, J.H. I can't remember what speakers you're driving, but in general, more power (especially THAT much power) will give you a more detailed, cleaner sound. Sound quality is EXCELLENT--I don't think you'll hear a bad opinion from any 5250 owner.

I should have mentioned I'm driving Definitive technology speakers. I have 7002's for mains,CLR 2002 as center and BPVX's for surrounds. This amp just looks like a monster. I'm drooling for the 250 watts per channel I'll tell you that much. Thanks Chris. J.H.- Bottom

Anyone know the real deal? Looking through some of the different...-
