    Silly...and Probably A Stupid Question...

Okay, as I have stated on a number of occasions, I am far from being technically knowledgable of this hobby.

And while my father is an electrician, this apple fell so very far from the tree. Actually, fell and rolled into the next county :B :B

I noticed last night that the left bulb (which is a bright glowing blue)on my Halo A21 (Left Channel indicator) is much brighter than my Right Channel bulb (which is a dull blue).

    Does this mean anything?

Could there be something wrong with my right channel?

Or is this just a simple case of the left bulb being visually brighter, aesthetically?

Like I said, probably a stupid question.

    I'm probably just being overly-concerned.

I think you're overly-concerned. On my A52, the 4th channel does not appear to be as bright as the others, but I haven't had any problems...

      Not a stupid question

Ditto what Mariachi said. I have an A51 and two of the LED's seem a little dimmer when viewed at anything besides straight-on. This is merely the variability of the light output of the LED. After all, Parasound probably paid about 10 cents each for them...
I wouldn't worry that it reflects the quality of design or construction - just the bean counters doing their job where it has the least effect on quality/sound.
I have a Simaudio W5 in my stereo-only setup that I had upgraded last year. Now, this is pretty high-end equipment and when it came back, the single LED was easily half as bright compared to the rest of the equipment - but it sounded AWESOME!!! I'll live with the dim LED :T

        Cool. Thanks guys.

I was just afraid it indicated a possible problem with the right channel.

        I feel better. :B

          LED Projectors
          by Dean McManis
One of the things that bugged me the most about digital projectors was the bulb use, and cost. Of course the improvements in projector bulb life and cost are much better than with my first JVC G1000. Whose bulb cost $1200 to replace and lasted 1000 hours. 8O

My projector bulb is apparently in need of replacement

I have a Sony VPL-AW15 projector (and I have had no serious complaints in 2.5 years--a few very minor quibbles, but only because no display is perfect) and a few days ago (just as we had settled the kids into the HT for a family viewing of Up on BD), I turned on the projector, selected the PS3 for BD...

Speakers a little too bright sounding
          by subynube
I have built a set of stand mounted Nat P's. They are powered by an Emotiva amp, Emotova processor, and Denon cd/DVD player. I also have a DIY dayton reference sub for those interested.
I feel they are fatiguing and and forward sounding at approximately 5-8khz range. That range seems a little...

RC1090 volume dial blue LED not working
          by vifferboy
          Hello

I just picked up a RC1090 from Audiogon, the unit is in excellent condition and sounds very nice. I had an RC1070 before which always seemed a bit bright to me, the RC1090 is very smooth.

Anyway the one small downer on the deal is that the seller failed to mention...

RMB-1075 less bright than my Acurus amp?
          by markusp
Hi Guys. Still tinkering with my system and am contemplating replacing my Acurus amp. Some of you have suggested that it is a "bright" amp matched up to my brighter sounding Def Techs and as such I am wondering if I should jump to the Rotel 1075? I think my Acurus may distort during louder...
