Help connecting 2 subs to C2 balanced

I have 2 subs and I have 2 XLR cables, both are 3 mtr long.

Connecting the 1st sub to the balanced "Subwoofer" output on the C2 works fine. The 2nd sub when connected to the balanced "Pro 1" output on the C2 does not give any sound.

I programmed the AUX 9 channel to feed the 2nd sub 100% LFE.

What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.

(I know I can use a split XLR cable so I only need to use the 1 Subwoofer output for connecting the 2 subs but I already have these 2 separate XLR cables I want to use now).

Hmmm, wish I could help. Ive never fiddled with any of that. If I had the C2 here at home Id look it over, but alas I do not.

Ill take your problem over mine though, having to use a receiver as a pre/pro till Parasound sends it back to me, lol.

What mode were you in when trying to listen? (stereo, stereo96, Dolby Digital, etc)
I use 2 subs hooked up with xlr's just as you have mentioned and have no problem. However, when listening to 2 channel, the second sub doesn't play.

        Brian,

I tried stereo mode. However, in the meantime I have contacted Parasound about this issue and now it works, also in 2 channel mode.

The advice I got is to feed *all* AUX9 channels 100% and set a lowpass filter to the crossover setting, in my case 50 Hz.

This way, according to Parasound, the second sub now receives a duplicate signal of the normal balanced Subwoofer output and that's exactly what I wanted in the 1st place so I'm very happy again.

Balanced XLR vs RCA's - what's the deal?
          by alpina
          hi guys,

finally geting around to the wiring end and am wondering what the deal is between balanced XLR vs RCA? What makes one better than the other and what are the real world sonic differences between the two?

          cheers,

Connecting balanced pre-amp to unbalanced amp
          by toledoguy
I've got a question, and I think I know the answer, but what the heck. I have decided to spend some money to move from big box store mediocre equipment to higher end seperates. It's a slow process as I research everything that I possibly can before I buy. I have a Rotel RM-1050 to power the front...

Halo Ax1 Balanced Inputs Level Question
          by wildfire99
This may be an Anthem issue or a Parasound one, but I'm thoroughly confused about it. Here's the question:

I recently switched my interconnects for my system (Anthem AVM30, Halo A21 and A51 amps, plus Behringer BFD for the sub) from RCA to XLR. I dutifully switched the amps to 'Balanced'...

XLR connector on 800 series subwoofer - not
          by Mark-n-b
I was wondering why the 800 series sub woofers do not have XLR inputs on the back, considering the XLR connecton method is supposed to be better than RCA connectors, especially over long runs.

Am I the only person to think this? I would like to see everyone's thoughts on this.

          Mixing balanced and unbalanced
          by sbank
          Hi All,

I have a question pertaining to mixing balanced and unbalanced interconnects. My dealer recommends in keeping everything one or the other. (eg all balanced or all unbalanced)

I currently have a Rotel RB-1080 2-channel Amp for my fronts. I've been using for quite...
