my remote seems to be playing up-the whole thing seems to freeze and then it trys to do a test on itself but fails. it has done this once before but returned back to normal when i left the batteries out for a while. this time its not passing the self test. obviously it needs returning but has anyone else come across this fault before?

yep, tried new batteries and it did not work. just waiting to get in touch with Parasound now, just as well i have a marantz lcd remote as backup!Doh!Comment

I have to say, I've had this remote since Jan. and I am still on the original set of batteries. I have done extensive programming with it and it is my primary remote. I even use the light feature all the time at night.

A couple of nights ago, I was trying to quickly turn down the volume of the RDC-7 via the remote control without completely muting the sound. I mashed the volume "down" button quite few times in sequence and then found the RDC-7 wouldn't respond to any remote commands. It still worked fine...24 October 2002, 15:41 Thursday -
