Since I am forst and foremost a B & W person, I hope they dont mind me asking this in this club. Although I can't afford the high end lines of B & W, I will only buy B & W. I currently own a very minimalist setup consisting of LM1's as my front with a ASW 300 sub.
I am looking to upgrade to something like the 602 S3 as my mains in the future and moving the LM1's to the rear. I do this slowly due to budget constraints. Anyway, my question is about what to run these with. I currently own a simple Sony HT Receiver. I hear a lot about Rotel in this club and am curious how much difference does it really make?
Music is my first love and takes priority over HT, but I do enjoy a good movie in suround. I've been watching eBay for Rotel stuff, but I don't know if a 12 year old Rotel CD player would still be an improvement over a general dvd/cd player that is only 1 year old since technology tends to trickle down to cheaper things over the years. Again, my budget is limited, but I would like to make purchases as investments. Thats the only way to control the WAF. Sorry about the long post. THanks in advance for your help.
