    600 Series bass plug

From the graph in the manual, it leds me to believe that when I plug the bass port, the speaker respond will go lower with a lower output. In HSU term, Max Extention mode.

Is it true? Any one runs their 600s plugged?

What happens is that you transform a bass-reflex speaker into a closed-box speaker.
BR cabinets have a lower - 3 dB point, but have a more steep roll-off afterwards.
BR rolls off at 12 dB/octave, closed box rolls off at 6 dB/octave.
In practice, this means that with the ports plugged, the output will be a bit lower, but the roll-off won't be as steep below the - 3 dB point.
So it can go lower, but less loud.

      Any worries/problems using cheater plug?
      by Orange Peel
When I get my RMB 1095 I want to have it working right immediately, so I will buy a cheater plug before I get the amp, just in case I have the hum people get with this amp. If I use the cheater plug and plug it into the wall socket, what risks do I run doing this? Is it more prone to surging/blowing...

      Hi,

In one of my previous posts I mentioned that I moved in with my girlfriend, until my house has become a reality (in a year or two).
My 802s can fit in the bedroom, but there is no place to put the amplifier near the speakers, the only free place has a door in between the amp...
