B&W 800 Diamond reviewed at German site audio.de

It is interesting to note that the 800 Diamond was awarded 104 points. It's predecessor, the 800D, was awarded 101 points when it was reviewed at this same site in May 2005.

This is how their point system of grading is applied:

REFERENCE CATEGORY 101 points and above (superior)...

800 Diamond Series Naming Convention

Reading some posts involving the old and new 800 Series where the diamond tweeter is concerned can be a bit confusing at times. For instance the new 805 Diamond has been labeled everything from 805D, 805Di to 805D2. According to B&W they are referencing the new series as the D2 series for short....

I am looking at some 7 month old 804D and some 803D that are three years old. The 803D's are $500 more than the 804D's. Was there an upgrade to the Diamond series or were...

how good is the signature diamond

hi,

unfortunately it is pretty hardto find a dealer who got the signature diamond on display here.

how good is the signature diamond in comparison to the 800 series or other speakers... Is the signature diamond above the 803D or is the signature diamond just a design compromise......
