Hi,
My room is (12x12), I have CM9 pair, CM5 pair and CM5. And I have told that CM9 need space to breath. Is that correct.

I have a pair of 802s in a room that size! But the key to it is moving them away from the walls. Its a small room if you have to compromise on where you put the speakers.

If Michael Fremer can have Wilson Alexandria XLF speakers in his little room, then you can certainly figure a way to make you CM9's work to your satisfaction in yours. :WComment

I also have this problem. I've moved and have two places to choose from for my 683S1's. Either and open space (basement rec room) or a bedroom that's 9.5x9.0 feet. Is that to small?

A bit of a tongue-in-cheek statement on my part.
But with a tinge of good intent meant.
Near-field listening position using the Cardas rules may be good place to start for such situation.
I remember reading not long ago how EveAnna Manley described her humble (as in proportionally large speakers in a small room) home listening room using a similar approach.Comment

I wanted to upgrade my DM602 S3/DM601 S3 and CC60 S3 with CM9/CM5/CMC2. First I went to a local BB. They had CM9 connected to Pioneer SC55 and Denon CD changer. It sounded great. Just a quick one, I've run the Arcam auto setup twice, the first time it told me all the speakers were "Large" (CM9's, CM5's and a CMC2). The second time it told me they were all small?
