804 Nautilus still worth getting today?

I might have an opportunity to pick up a pair, just wondering with their age if they still worth getting. I sold my 804S when my older sun was born (didn't want them damaged), he's 8 now. How old would Nautilus be by now?, what they worth these days? thank you.

I learned a long time a ago that good sound is good sound. Compared to the Diamond Series the N804 does show its age, technologically speaking, but it's still worth it to the people that own them. I would say a price point around $2K would not be out of line for a pair in worthy condition.

Recently purchased N804. I'm very pleased with the way they sound compared to my old mains, 603 S3's but they are great rears.

Of course, they are still worth getting. I've had mine since 2001, and they are perfection. I believe the Nautilus Series was the rough or semi rough pinnacle of the 800 series. An outstanding speaker worth it's price.

HELP! Worth buying Nautilus 804 / 805 combo?
            by nick.h
            Hi,

I have found a pair of Nautilus 804 and 805 forsale. Are they worth purchasing. They are aparently in excellent condition (unsold stock) and a half the cost of the current 800 series range.

So my question still stands? is it worth it? is there a huge gap in sound quality...

            B&W Nautilus vs Paradigm Studios
            by Juan Cortez
I am trying to decided on whether I should go with the Paradigm Studios or the B&W Nautilus speakers. Has anyone here compared the two? Are the Nautilus in a whole new league of their own? I am looking at the following B&W set up:

            Nautilus 804's
            Nautilus 805's (2 pairs)...

I have a Pair of Nautilus 805, and feel like I am missing some bass. I don't want to go into 2.1, so I am considering finding a pair of used 804.

Would they be a big improvement for around $1,000 extra?

            Upgrading ... Nautilus 802 ? ?
            by BWzes03
            All,

I'm currently the owner of a pair of Nautilus 804's and while I'm satisfied with the overall performance, I've always loved the 802's in sound and beauty.
Lets just say I've always coveted them....
Now, just browsing a second-hand add site, I've come across an add that...

Nautilus Bass drivers in a 703: is this a good idea?
            by worldys
I have a pair of 703 speakers. I bought 4 intact bass drivers for the Nautilus 804 off ebay some time ago. The size is right, so what do you guys think about switching out the 703 drivers for the better N804 drivers. Do you think this would make a good tweak? One could argue the 703 crossovers are...
