Which goes with 685's better, 608 or 610 sub?

My room is pretty small, 12x15x8. I like that the 608 is smaller physically, and I'm sure power wise it's probably okay for the room size, but in terms of the quality and level of 685's, is the 608 still good or would it go more with 686's?

The biggest spec that stood out to me is that the 608 goes down to 32hz while the 610 goes down to 27hz.

I'm also a little concerned about value, in that there is probably something better out there that is cheaper, but I do like having all of the same brand stuff, and I definitely love my 685's.

Also just for the record I'm running an Onkyo TX-NR609.

    TIA

Will you be using for music or movies?

If you want some excellent value subs, have a look at Emotiva. They are not going to play with the big boys, but they are some of the best I have seen anywhere in the snack bracket. I think they would match up very well with your 685.

I definitely prefer my older Emotiva Ultra 12's to the B&W 610XP I have auditioned. Even in a one on one.
    Main System:
    B&W 801D
    Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
    Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
    Oppo BDP-105
    Squeezebox Touch

    Second System:
    B&W CM7
    Emotiva UMC-1
    Emotiva UPA-2
    Oppo BDP-83SE
    Grant Fidelity DAC-09

I see people ask things like that, probably 50-50 music and movies.

Yeah.. It is important to decide.. 50/50 is always the hardest...

Since you have a strong focus on music I would stick to a sealed sub (vs. ported). This will give you a tighter cleaner bass with a flat freq response, but not as much output as a ported sub.

I definitely already wanted a sealed sub, I prefer the sound of tighter, cleaner, crisper bass.

I guess if I had to be more specific I could probably say 65 movies/video games 35 music.

Sub execution is a tough call, since every room and bass requirements are different.

I would say to get the bigger sub if all else is equal. It will provide more impact for movies with little draw back other then cost and size.
