Has anyone compared these 2 speakers? The 635 replaced the 602, so I am curious about the difference in sound....

I own both the 602 and the new 685 - both great speakers, but B&W has outdone itself with the 685. Listening to them side by side, the 602 sounds midrangy, like the vocals are coming through a megaphone. The 685's get everything just right - the lows defy the laws of physics. The bass is punchy, uncompressed yet not overly done.
Again, I'm a fan of both speakers, both have great imaging, sound bigger than their physical size suggests. But side by side the 685 wins with it's midrange.Stereo: Revel F208, Parasound JC2, JC1's, Oppo HA-1, VPI, Dynavector, Moon

602's in my opinion look nicer but the 685 is the better speaker. Much improved highs and the bass is pretty impressive for the size. Overall great speaker for the money!dan87951

I have 1 day to think about this 602 s3 vs. 685, I have the 602 s3 with me right now and its a pair of bad ass speakers.. but I keep hearing about the 685 being even more bad ass.. i havnt had the chance of listening to the 685 but does it really blow away the 602 s3?? Anyone here have any real experience... -
I just read that the 685's just won an award or something and it has a new technology that the 800 series had?!? and its the same price as the 602 s3!! after reading that I feel like such a sucker!! Its only been 1 day maybe I can exchange it for those tomarrow... but then I did read something about...

ok so I just won the bid for a Rotel RA-985BX RA-985 Integrated Amplifier Amp, will these be ok or good enough for a 602 s3 or I might exchange it for the 685 series.. anyone use this before with these speakers?
