If you intend to move soon, why even bother with mounting speakers ? You will have to repair whatever damage was done to the wall. If you must, Axiom makes in-wall, on-wall and in-wall/on-wall models. The latter offer the option of either form of mounting. I use their on-wall speakers in my HT system. Their modest prices belie their performance, but don't just take my word for it, read the reviews. The on-walls have a unique mounting/connection system that allows them to sit almost flush against the wall, with just a 1/4 inch gap.

I asked a similar question to my dealer. He recommended the CWM7.3. I have not heard them personally so please report back. Make sure you find a quality installer.

i have searched and found that several people have posted questions about modifying one of the existing projects to work as in inwall. the issue seems to be the depth limitation and i saw mentioned that if you had a 2x6 it would be much better. common practice for building a theater today is to use...

My room: approx 12x16 or so

Wow! It's been a long time since I "lurked" on this forum - almost 4 years! :E

I've ended up moving and my new HT set-up will require mounting my Matrix 805 on the rear wall for rear-fill.
What speaker mounts would be recommended?
I'd really prefer to attach the...
