    Can I change it?

    Hi I am a new bee here
    Is it possible to change one the midrange on 683 to kevlar one?
    Meaning that I will have 2 kevlar midrange on custom 683?
    Any improvement from the sound?

      You might want to ask this question on AVS: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=89 I think if you don't have a good grasp on crossover design and have the proper measuring tools, I think it would be a bad idea, personally. Even so, two mids covering the same frequency bands might actually hurt (comb filtering?) than help.

          Andy,

          If you are not happy with the 683's sell them.DO NOT MODIFY THEM.

          For the price you paid you can sell them easily and even make a profit .

              this is a picture of the bottom woofer removed. there was white foam covering this peice. i think its part of the crossover. There was also something on the bottem of the speaker that felt like a crossover but i could not see it. I didnt want to totally rip apart...
