Anyone compared 805Di's to the old 805S's?

    Anyone compared 805Di's to the old 805S's?

    Has anybody compared them side by side or indirectly as main speakers?

    How would you describe the sound of each in overall terms? for instance, which one is "brighter" or "warmer", more dynamic, etc.

      I have 805s at home, and have heard the 805Ds at the dealers, but on totally different equipment (Naim) etc.

      My impression of them was very favorable, they seem to offer more space between the notes, in particular in the high end. The soundstage seems wider and they are more detailed. That isn't to say the 805s are bad speakers, just different...also, for the price of 805s on Agon, I am not sure the Ds are worth over twice as much...

          Hi there.. Finnaly i had a time and chance to compare them my self.. Electronics was McIntosh Preamp (C42 i think), and MC275 and MC501 Amps..

          Becouse im a bit busy i'll write just short impressions now, and i'll continue tommorow more detailed if u are interested of course..

          I have a quick question regarding the new 805S vs the Signature 805. The old signature is about $2,700 and the new 805S is about $2,500. Is it worthwhile to buy the new 805S instead of getting the old S805. Just curious if anyone has compared both of them side by side.
