    any comments between the S805 to new 805S

    Hi all,

    I have a quick question regarding the new 805S vs the Signature 805. The old signature is about $2,700 and the new 805S is about $2,500. Is it worthwhile to buy the new 805S instead of getting the old S805. Just curious if anyone has compared both of them side by side.

      I've been wondering the same thing. The only help I can give is that Ive heard the 805 Sigs against the new 804s and the mids and highs are comparable with the 804 mids being more laid back. Of course the 804s excelled during the lower notes. Finally my dealer said that during his back to back he finds the 805 Sigs and the new 805s to be very similiar.

          It appears that the new 805S is a little bigger and heavier then the Sig 805.

              I am thinking about changing my N805's for a pair of 805S's. I know that the N805's are shielded and that the 805 sigs are not. So, does anyone know if the new 805S's are magnetically shielded ?
