    New System!

I need some recommendations on a new system for another room.
I already have the 804s and the htm3s in the living room and the new system will be in a spare room I have.
My music will go from my computer to a rotel rsp-1068 and rb-1092 combo that I got really cheap. I have not decided on the sub-woofer but I think I will go with a jl- fathom 12.
All I need to do is pick out the speakers.

I will listen to all the types of music,(I have over 5000 songs)
The room is squared about 18x18 feet.
I would like to keep it under 2500. New or used in good condition.
    B&W 804s
    B&W htm3s
    B&W dm601 s3
    Outlaw lfm-1 EX x 2
    Denon 2808ci
    Emotiva XPA-5
    Emotiva XPA-2
    Sony PS3

      omar,

I agree with the N804 recommendation, maybe even a deal on an 804S. The RB-1092 will drive them well. Also, I can definitely recommend the Fathom F112. I got one last fall. A reference sub. Outstanding musicality, along with excellent output.

      Hope this helps.

Whoa a square room you are going to have problems just make sure you sit no more than six feet away from your speakers :T

            Have you considered non-b&w speakers?

I would look at Paradigm Sigs, maybe the s4 or s6, v2s (used) with the pure-beryllium tweeter. I have heard them and like them a lot. Very detailed, not quite as "sweet " (warm) sounding as the diamond tweeter, but very good for the price. You can hear the v3s at dealers and the v2s are very similar.

I really like having two different brands since each brand has their own take on sound reproduction. I have B&W and Paradigm Monitors. It is fun to hear the same music on different systems in your own house.

If you are looking for a pair of speakers for 2500 then I think you should have atleast of few good options. I would take my time and listen to as much I could.

I have tried other brands from klipsch, energy, psb , paradigm and b&w. Of all those I like the b&w the most and then the paradigm. My dealer only carries the monitor series in the paradigm but he has all the b&w lines. And I just got a great deal on a pair of brand new 602 s3 he had in his warehouse for 70% off msrp. That leaves me more money for a decent dac and a better subwoofer. I will go from a jl fathom 10 to a 12.

                omar,

I'm glad you are upgrading to a F112 sub. You will really like it. Also, nice deal on the 602's.

                  Help on RB1092
                  by sarsi
I would appreciate anyone that can share experience on RB1092. I recently added RB1092 to RSP1098, which now drive my front speakers and now the RMB1095 drive the rear and center speakers.

Both the amp are turn on and off via the +12v trigger from the RSP1098 but I noticed each time...

                  B&W with Rotel Rb1092
                  by style
                  Hallo,

I have a Rotel system (rb1091 for center, rb1092 for mains 803s and another
                  rb1092 for rear 703.)

For rear in place 703 I think the 805 will be the better solution but the XT4
                  can be too a solution?

                  Plase reply.

JL Audio Fathom Sub and 802Ds
                  by skuzzyb
Has anyone yet paired the JLAudio Fathom Sub F112 or F113 with the 802Ds? I am very curious as to how well they integrate. I have read great things about the subs but have not had the chance of hearing them myself. I know, I should trust my ears and go have a listen but living here in middle earth...
