    802D Question

How do your 802Ds sound at low to medium volume levels? (& amp used)
I've been told that they don't "shine" until you reach very high volume levels.
    Any insight greatly appreciated.

Can you give us a level that you consider low to medium?

Mine sound good at low levels. With all due respect though these speakers deserve to be played VERY loud VERY frequently :T

For me it is perfect at all levels from 60db to upwards of 105db. Amp used was the
        mc402 and mc501 and also cam400, ca2200.

          802D at low volume
          by smjc99
I was wondering the ability of a spkr like 802 Sounding with classe AMp like 5200 at low and hig volumes

Does an 802D sound/reveal more detail at medium and high volumes only or is it equally good at low to moderate volumes?

Is this more of a function of amplifier capabilities...

Amps to create "revelation" on 802D / 800D
          by Indytown
          Geoff and others,

Can we come up with 5 to 10 amps that would drive 802D and 800D's to that "revelation". Where we can open them up at a high volume and no fatigue; and at low listening levels very detailed and good bass.

          Indy...

High end processors VS low end processors/receivers, hardware differences?
          by
I was wondering if anyone had some objective data or even and explanation as to why a high end processor would sound better then a low end processor/receiver. I understand that subjective listening plays a role in what people prefer and that some audiophiles look at audio more as a hobby but is there...

Mark Levinson 400's for driving 802D's
          by misterdoggy
I was curious if anyone has done some serious listening comparison between these 4 amps 432 433 434 and 436. I have the 433 and 432 and although the 432 is more powerful I am experimenting with the 433 running my front L&R 802D's and I might be crazy but the sound might be more refined.

800D/Di/801D owners. Do they play nice at low volume levels?
          by buggerhead
          Hello all.

I've been looking at swapping my Klipsch RF-7II for a pair of B&W. My system is setup in the living room so in many cases I play music at low volume levels.

Over the years I've learned that not all speakers play nice until you crank up the volume quite a...
