        Hifidelity,

I would set all your speakers to SMALL, and set the crossover point in the reciever at 80 Hz. You can experiment with 100 hz crossovers as well and see what sounds best to you in your room.

Also, make sure you set your delays as well.

Finally, a really good thing to do is get a SPL meter and a calibration disc (like Digital Video Essentials or Avia, etc). This will allow you to balance all your speakers to the same level. This will make your system nicely integrated and sound very good.

        Hope this helps.

          I agree with htsteve.

80 Hz will probably do it, but you may find a higher crossover sounds better.

Taking a look at your receiver (I'm assuming this is the TX-SR607) it appears you've got Audyssey. I'd use that to configure your system: you can tweak it further if you don't like what it does, but it may be that you won't need to change a thing after it does its thing.

Otherwise, a DVD like Avia and an SPL meter are very helpful to get levels balanced.

Mixing speaker brands in 5.1 or 7.1 ?
                by mlunde
                Hi,

                I currently have a 5.1 setup consisting of B&W 603s, 601s, LCR60 and an ASW650.

I am thinking of moving to 7.1 since I'm upgrading the fronts to either 604s or 703s, and my question is:

Can I use some cheap JBL E30s for SR+SL+SBR+SBL? Or will it screw...

Help, can't get output from SB Speaker on my Marantz SR-7500?
                by SteveY
I just finished hooking up my new AVR (Marantz SR-7500) and I am having a problem getting an output from the Surround Back speaker. I have just one SB speaker and set it to this in the Setup Menu, but on the channel test I get no output? The speaker is connected to the SBL speaker output. However I...

                DS6/DM600 as rear surrounds?
                by BlazeMaster
As title says it all, which should I go with to use as rear surrounds? I have the Denon 2805 which is compatible with DPLIIx and will be using the DS6 as side surrounds for sure at about 2 feet above ear level when sitting down. The saving of $$ by going to DM600 can apply to my upgrade of fronts...

                DM600's and sub crossover settings
                by opt-e
Hi, I recently purchased a HSU STF-2 subwoofer to go with my stereo bedroom system comprised of a Rotel RA-01 amp and DM600 S3 bookshelf speakers. I'm wondering if you guys have any advise as to what to set the sub's crossover to.

B&W has the following specs for my 600's:

                DM303 or DM600 S3 or Something else
                by marano
I am just about ready to purchase some new Home Theater speakers and have been wanting a set of B&W speakers for quite some time but due to my budget constraints I have been strongly considering 4 DM303's, LCR3, and a ASW 300 sub but from what I have read you really need to be in the 600 series...
