    B&W 570 troubles

i am running these speakers for years now, 15 os so, and yesterday i was playing some music at a birthday party, that apparantly went to loud. So something is blown in the speaker, as the tweeters don't give any sound.
When i deattach the tweeters and connect them directly to the amplifier they still work, but inside the DM570 they dont. The woofer is still playing.
What could have happenend? Is the filter blown?

edit: the tweeters also play when in the speakerenclosure, but at VERY low volume, when i turn the treble en EQ up, i can hear thema little better

B&W Nautilus Tweeter blown adhesive failure design fault

My tweeters failed on my N802. After examining them carefully I discovered that the foam surround is stuck onto its plastic mounting, and the adhesive had failed which allowed the voice coil to come out the gaps and overheat...

I checked and double checked the connections and they are apparently blown. Has anyone gone through the process of how they will get repaired? They are under warranty, but I was not sure if I will have to send the whole...

random project ideas pt. 1: double tweeters
    by capslock
I've been harboring a couple of ideas that I haven't really had time to pursue. So I'll throw them at you and see who picks up on them:

First one: Dual tweeters. Something Dynaudio has been doing for a while. They use two 25 mm Nd tweeters side by side and take one out early (probably...

    B&W damaged tweeters - What's the cause?
    by sharkman777
I have a setup of 602s - front towers, back bookshelves, center channel and sub. Both the front tower 602s have damaged tweeters (image enclosed). Is there any way these tweeters were damaged simply by normal usage (i.e. they were blown) or would this have to have been physical damage (i.e. someone...

How can you be sure tweeters or any speaker is damaged?

    Hi, Y'all,
Yesterday while doing some DB metering using the TEST ZONE I forgot to turn the CD off as I was thrilled about fiddling with some funky set up!!! Anyway, I had the volume in the Test Zone set at 80 db and made all my fancy settings and hit menu ....and guess what the sound came back...
