I have Upgraded my surround and stereo speakers to Fronts XT 4s rear XT 2s and a LCR 3 center which I am looking to upgrade. My Onkyo 777 is not really a high current amp and does not really do the XT4s justice. I have been looking at Rotel 1075 which used I can find around 600, also Bryston or even carver/sunfire whose products I have used it the past. I plan on using the onkyo for now to drive the newer Amp.

I was at a pawn shop yesterday i saw they had a Onkyo M-501 Amp for $199 .
This amp is 2x150 watts at 8ohm ( I think )
so does the amp double when run at 4 ohm to 2x 300 ???? Or I am I wrong about that ?

I currently have a full FPM set up with B&W PV1 sub powered by a rotel rsx 1067. I have to admit its a sweet sound system. As many of you know regardless of how good your system sounds, and with out even hearing something better you always think of ways to improve.
