Installing SCMS to side of room with no wall

Hi, I have some SCMS speakers that I'll have installed in a couple of weeks and one side of the room has no wall. I'd like some suggestions on how to best mount this so that it doesn't look too goofy-looking. Currently, the installer is thinking of using an 18" pole that mounts to the ceiling and having the SCMS bracket mount to it. I was thinking of something that is an 18" upside-down L-shape ceiling-mounted and having the SCMS bracket mount to it...but I'm not sure where to best get/make something like that and not be flimsy due to speaker weight and being able to move the speaker around with that B&W adjustable brack...or if there's a better way to have a mount. Any ideas? Pictures are welcome!

Actually, no wall on the side. Imagine a livingroom area, which is my multi-purpose home theater room. Now imagine a dining room area. There is no wall that separates them.

I have the same room configuration but managed to use the rear wall despite the constraints and with excellent results.

            Surround match for SCMS fronts
            by Hammie
            Hey, guys (and gals)!

If you were planning on using B&W SCMS's (wall-mount) for the fronts and an HTM4S as a center, what would you use as surrounds?

My couch is along the back wall and cannot be moved anymore into the room (wife factor). I would need to either do...

            Hi

So long time owner of a pair of SCMS side/rear speakers that have been hanging on my wall and performed flawlessly. However I am now considering changing my speaker layout and as part of this change I will need to turn the speaker sideway's in order for it to fit over a door opening....

Transition to wall-mount speakers, new build or repurpose existing
            by BigWigs
I'm hoping to transition to wall-mounted speakers in our small home theater room. We have a projection setup and the floor space and protrusion into the space from the speaker is something I want to limit for aesthetics and room function.

Currently my build is based on the Creativesound...

Need Help Wall Mounting Heavy Speakers
            by Eric S
I've been working on building four of Thomas & Jon's M8A Mk III sealed speakers as surrounds for my basement theater. Now that they are nearly complete (and sound GREAT!), I need a way to mount them to the walls. The trouble is that they are quite heavy - 50lbs each. The room is framed with 2x4...

            Calling SCMS owners
            by scanido
Can someone with the the SCMS measure how much depth it is from the front to the wall when mounted with the brackets? B&W only states the depth of the speaker.

Also, is it possible to stand mount the speakers on a 6" x 6" top stand mount? I know there are flow ports on...
