Hi all - Newbie here
I have some old B&W 802s (F Special) from the mid '80s.
They are spec'd at 85 dB/watt. I would love to buy McIntosh or Classe equipment but that is not in the cards just yet.
I am interested in learning about reasonably priced equipment to cleanly power these speakers. I listen to all kinds of music at all sorts of volumes (short of "stadium" levels). My room is 20 x 16 and is a fairly "bright" space.
I am familiar with most mainstream manufacturers to some greater or lesser extent.
I would prefer an integrated amp but realize I may not easily find one with enough clean power.
I would love to any and all comments re Rotel vs NAD vs Parasound vs Outlaw etc. I need balance control so no Onkyo.
Sound is important especially with regard to listeners fatigue but durability & reliability are equally important to me. I would prefer equipment with little sonic signature but better a little warm than too bright.
There is no way that I am going to drag these speakers to a shop to auditon so I am not going to buy "what I like best". They are filled with concrete and it's just to much to manage
Many, many thanks in advance !
Dave P.
