    803D Tweeter Misalignment

I just noticed that the tweeter housing on one of my 803D speakers is misaligned relative to the cabinet on which it is mounted. Basically, the end of the tapering tube pointing toward the back of the speaker is slightly off center. Has anyone seen this before, and should I bring it to B&W's attention? The speaker is brand new (I didn't damage it), and it sounds excellent nonetheless.

Kindly align it with you hand, it is not hard fixed, don't worry!

      Dont touch it!!

I would not try and realign anything. I would discuss it with your dealer and let them fix it if needed. They are not going to be 100% in perfect alignment and if sounds good I would not mess with it.

When I unpacked my N803's the tweeter was off center a bit, a gentle adjustment fixed it, this is normal...

The tweeter is fixed on the 803D. I can push it in any direction, but when I let go it returns to its original position.

I would call your dealer and have them send someone out to look at it then. sometimes the membrane that is between the cabinet and tweeter housing will get bunched up somehow and will not allow the tweeter to sit properly.

Soundgravy, how are the tweeters mounted on the N803's so that you can adjust it yourself?

I think it is only one bolt and a rubber joint!

there is a clip that is attached to the cabinet, you basically slide on the tweeter housing and lock it in place, there is really no adjustment, but it can be moved a small amount if need be.
