    FPM's or Something Else?

    Hello Everyone!!

I am getting ready to make a speaker purchase for an audio challenged portion of my house and would appreciate any one’s advice and or opinion. Budget is about $2,500 MAX.

My 42” LCD is wall mounted to a framed fireplace that comes out about 2 feet from the wall. The tv pretty much takes up the width of the fireplace so the L&R’s are a little back and a little out. My current fronts and center are 3 VM1’s being driven by a Yamaha avr, rotel DVD player and a Rotel RMB 1095 (overkill I know).

So, I’m thinking of upgrading to 3 FPM 5’s and just wanted to know if anyone thought there was some other option I should be considering. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Lastly, if I do go w/ the fpm series; I hear that there is little or no performance diff between the fpm 4, 5 and 6. Anybody exp. this first hand?

    Thanks..

Just got FPM 4s for surounds
      by Nolan B
No one ever posts about the FPM series, so thought I would in case someone is considering them or is curious. I am using FPMs for a full HT setup and went from 601 S3 to get there.

I was using FPM 6s for my mains, a FPM 4 for the centre and had two 601s left from my last set up I was...

      Hello all,

A newbie question, any help appreciated.

I have a smallish room and a partner who wants me to keep the size of my new equipment down to a smallish size. So far I've listened to the 705s (which I loved), Sonus Faber Domus Concerino (also liked a lot, any comments...

      FPM Home theater question
      by Grady
We are installing our first home theater system and I am dealing with a spouse that is a designer (and opinionated!!). I have listened to various B&W speakers and like the sound. We are going to mount a 50" plasma over the fireplace (not too hot). I want to get floor speakers (probably 700...

Limitation of B&W FPM's or upgrade to 805S
      by Nolan B
Wasnt really sure what to tittle this thread, but just a quick question so i understan something.

I currently have B&W FPMs powered by a Rotel RSX 1067 and RDV 1060. I have heard that if I upgraded from rotel to Classe it would be money wasted becuase my speakers can not display...

Help, My VM1's just blew up!
      by AngusUK
After years of good service, my front VM1's seem to have been destroyed. OK, they are sometimes driven quite hard but my amp (Sony ST-DB930) only has 100W per channel which would seem a good match to the 100W VM1. Both speakers seem to have been destroyed, and music now sounds like a few grains of...
