    B&W TWEETER TROUBLE

    Hi,
I bought a used pair of B&W CDM 9NT's on ebay and when they arrived the diaphragm on one of the tweeter's was crushed. I ordered a new one and just installed it myself. However, I can't get the tweeter to close completely securely around the new diaphragm. Furthermore, even with the new diaphragm in place, the high ends coming out of that speaker are at a much lower volume level than the other speaker. I'm not sure if this is due to the cap not being 100% secured around the new diaphragm or if it's due to another malfunction in the speaker. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had an accident and the diamond tweeter diaphragm is broken. The tweeter still sound well. Does the whole tweeter need to be replaced or can they replace just the diaphragm?

    "Blown" tweeter help/opinions needed
    by whoaru99
Noticed one of my Paradigm Studio 100v2 speakers wasn't sounding quite right and found this (attached picture) on closer inspection.

Contacted Paradigm and their opinion was that the failure resulted from overdriving the speaker. Well, the tweeter still plays and the voice coil is not discolored/burnt....
