Living room suitable for b&w 804?

In this pictures you can see the size of my living room. I'd like to buy a ht system based on B&W 804.
Do you think the living room is bigger enough to this speakers?

Thank you very much for your help.

My opinion? Your room size should afford no problem at all :T

Good luck & please post some pics once you have these fine speakers.

I agree. A pair of 804S's will work great in that room.

        No problem.

You can go bigger in the future as well. Which might happen if you hang around here to much.

I have a pair of 802 in a room that size.

Has the bookshelf/cabinet at the back got glass doors? If not, they will do wonders for sound diffusion, BUT I am a novice on that topic, so take it with a pinch of salt.

I don't see that to be a problem. I had 804S in a room much smaller (17' x 11') and it was a bedroom and it worked fine.

No, it hasn't. In fact, I only have books and I suppose it's good for the sound.

Thank you very much for your oppinions. I was very worried about this size.

                        Hi,

I split this into it's own thread as it was not related to the original 805S questions and warrants its own discussion

Some folks will want 2 subs with 801D run with a pair of Krell monoblocks. It is all very subjective.

My room is 6m by 4m and to me they are great without a sub. Once again the key is setting them up right - feed them with the very best signal and they will shine. Get it wrong and they can be thin and disappointing. Source material also makes a difference. Nirvana sounds fine and is very listenable, but put on something like jazz or Eric Clapton playing the blues and you get this great full sound.

The 800 series will tell you just what is on the recording. To me this is good. The latest PJ Harvey is an interesting example of this. I have it on right now and I think it sounds great. Its fragile and edgy stuff. Only last week it was just a bit harsh and not very appealing because some of my gear was not really up to the task. It was masking the goodies and emphasising the negative aspects of the rather crude recording. Now the record makes sense and I get what PJ was aiming for with this album.

For 30m² it´s almost impossible to any human listen a pair of 801D+2subs.

For 30m² 803S could fit well

                                  My listening room is 20 ft w X 25' l x 12 h and i use a pair of N804 and a ASW800 sub with a Rotel RC-1090 pre and RB-1092 amp. It sounds just wonderful and lively.

I was told in a shop that I'll need at least 40m2 for speakers like the 703. They are wrong, aren't they?

I would be more concerned about the shape of the room For example 6m x 6m x 3m = bass hell (or any room that could be divided into 3x3x3). Personally I think they are wrong as I have heard 703 in a tiny listening room. You may want to whack in a few bass traps to fine tune the sound, but you would need to consider that anyway.
