So I just picked up a great looking pair of DM22's for a steal.
I want to do some cleanup work on the crossovers (I think).
These were made in February of 1981, and the crossovers have electrolytic capacitors. I believe they should be replaced, to help with a muddyish low end. If I understand correctly, electrolytic capacitors have a limited lifespan, so this shouldn't be that sacrilegious.
Any recommendations of what to replace them with? I'd like to stick with electrolytics. That said, I'm having difficulty finding 9mfd capacitors locally. Can I use a larger ones, or will I hork up the speakers as per the B&W Faq?
Any other advice?
