Which NAD? I heard a NAD S300 with 802D and found them to go well together although the amp could use more power. Compared with a Classe CA3200 I felt that the Classé had more grunt and control at low frequencies.

I was thinking of c270 power Amplifier: but you're confirming what people said about 'dull' lows. Did you hear ROtel 1080, remaining in a budget frame?

          Hi
I have the 802Ds and drive them with a Krell FPB-300cx, I still do have in my posession a RB-1080.

I used this amp to drive a pair of N804s a few years ago, but I moved to the Krell as part of my upgrade plan.

I could not imagine that the RB-1080 would do justice to the 802Ds.

But I can test it for you if you are really interested!

          Cheers,
          Keith

              Hi melantone,

I'm an RB-1080 owner. I also dream about owning 802D speakers one day.

I wouldn't think about powering 802D speakers with an RB-1080, not because it's a Rotel, but because it's not powerful enough to drive the 802D at high volume without distortion.

However I would consider powering 802D speakers with an RB-1090 or an RB-1092.

              Nigel.

Not the best choice of word, I agree . Should read "weight" .

Now I'm powering 802d with an Accuphase e303, and peak meters don't go further 20-30 watts (40-60 on 4 ohms). So I think it is not a 'pressure' problemsolving, but a bass tightness and definition on high levels on orchestral pienos.
So Rotel would be sufficient: it is a timbric and definition matter (tightness and power being satisfied).

I should be able to play with it next weekend, I'll post the results for you after I do it, and perhaps a few pics.

                          B&W CM10 with Nad C370 & C270 bridged good choice?

                          Hi all,

I have a pair of B&W CM10's running off a Nad C370 pre/power amp & a Nad C270 power amp both bridged rated 300Wrms each. The power amp section on both units is identical, the C370 just adds a pre amp.

My room is 32ft by 15ft.

                          I am pleased...

Testing 802D with Classé and Nuforce
                          by Maverick71
                          Hi,

After purchasing my 802D's a few months ago, I'm starting to do some testing with power amps since I realize my TAG 100x5R can't really cope with the speakers demands.

Last Friday I brought home a pair of Nuforce Ref9 monoblocs and a Classé CA3200. I intend to buy...

                          Sub problem with DTS
                          by cicero
I have a NAD T751, C270, and T512 DVD. Just bought a SONY WX 700 sub (I know, but I got it reallly cheap) but I can't get any sound out of it in DTS mode. OK in DD, stereo etc. Any ideas? 8O

I've always believed that room acoustics is the main contributor to the overall sonic experience one has over its audio room.

After a few experiences with my setup in my room (where I basically tested and measured my speakers at any place available) and a listening session a few days...

                          by gsengmaq
I'm in the process of investing in a home theater/music entertainment room. The room is fairly large, some 30x40 feet. I have already purchased the NAD Master Series M15 7 channel amp and M25 pre-pro. I am now considering what front speakers to buy and I'm thinking about B&W 802D's or 803D's. I...
