    Passlabs or YBA with N803

    Can anyone comment on the comdo or Passlab or YBA driving the N803? Does anyone have any experience hearing the 2 types of amp?

    I am currently using YBA2HC, I wanted a more dynamic yet musical sounding amp that can justify well for theatre and music. Not sure if the X150.5 fits the bill.

      yes .. very fine amp
      but...

      why not classe .... thats what I think of driving 803.. when you buy new

          Not really keen on Classe. But I do notice that many in this forum are Classe fans. Aren't there any YBA or Passlabs users that could help to comment?

              My friend had the N803 with the Pass X150.5. I was not impressed. Neither was he. He sold it for a Jeff Rowland Concentra II. Much, much better.

              Pass was way too bland.

                  Im not keen on the pass too. I auditioned X600 with my N800 and they sounded cold and too bright. I ended up with a pair of Gryphon Ref-1 mono's. I have since not heard of a better amp than the Ref-1 in my set up.

                      Amps for N803 (Pass labs, Mark Levinson, Jeff Rowland)

                      Hi, I am using the N803 now with a 70W YBA 2HC, am contemplating to change amp for a different/better sound. I had these brands in mind, Mark Levinson (434, 432, 336), Jeff Rowland (Model 8 or 10), and Pass Labs(X250, XA100).

                      Could anyone who have used or heard these amps perform on N803...

                      I am currently using Proceed PAV+PDSD feeding Proceed Amplification for the center channel, using Mark Levinson 23.5 driving front channels, cheap amplifier driving the rear surrounds.

                      My current set-up are as follows: N803, HTM1 and SCM1. I had a Mirage BPS-400 sub that I sold recently.....

                      N803 based HT - Best upgrade: new amp or integrated?

                      Just picked up B&W N803's/HTM1 for my HT system, running through Pioneer VSX49tx rcvr. I really want to get most out of B&W's on 2 channel music, but don't know if I should max out on amplification and use the Pioneer's preamp or get the best musical integrated to run side-by-side for 2 channel....

                      Does anyone here use the older Classe CA series to power their B&W speakers? I am looking at upgrading power to my N803's and HTM1. I checked out the new Classe CA3200 at my dealer which is a 3 channel amp.Its nice, but $6000 plus tax is a little more than I want...
