I am the proud owner of a B&W600 HT system and Sonus Faber Concertino's for stereo listening. I often feel superior to others when talking about my system. I know it is entry level lo/mid fi. But I enjoy it.
You on the other hand are sharing your experiences with your equipement as a new father. No flaunting, no condescending remarks, no pompus(sp) attitude. Just the happiness of self fulfilment.
May your A/C always be clean and your sound pure.
Forgive me for rambling, I'm over 60 and can appreciate the finer things owned by others without being too envious or jealous.

The mains came with a sylver cable, and for the rears I recently upgrade from a generic cable to this "M" Monster cable wich I love!
I have a run of about 160´ on the surround so it would be very expensive to get let's say a Kymber kable that long!

Taking about my A/C clean... I'm starting to beleive that all the dishwashers of America are hook to my A/C power supply!

Yesterday I finally start to listen to the Nautis!
I start with Al D'Meola John McLaighlin Paco De Lucia SACD and I want to tell you that I get the longest spine chill ever in my life!

WOW!

They shure sound different from the 800's, HUGE soundstage, if I have to describe them in one word I would said "detailed".
The true is that I was a little concerned about the Nautilus for not having the Dimond tweeter, but I was VERY wrong! They are fine without it!

Where I found the Nauts to be clearly different is in the mids, vocals sound very detailed and sweet, some could qualified them to be too sweet, maybe if you like hard rock these are not the speakers you are looking for!

Good to know others out there also have listening tastes across the board . If I were in your shoes, I think I'd be in 2channel nirvana for a while, but as you start to listen to more multi-chan sources, I'd be interested to hear your long-term impressions of the Nautalis front and HTM1D Center combination. Is the difference in timbre noticeable enough to be a distraction or no biggie?

I had the N800 and HTM1D for several months and never ever noticed anything that bother me about the NO matching tweeters!

Also, I noticed in your pic that you still have the ASW855 up front. Is that only for HT use or do you use them for 2ch listening as well? I would have thought them to be redundant with the snails.

I have to say, I hear the Madonna Confessions on a dance floor and they rock the house down!

Well returning to good music... Peter Gabril Pays Live Highlight SACD: I hear things that I never did in other speakers, instrument separation is absolutely incredible!

Please be advise that I'm impresed of these speakers sound but you have to concider that I'm thrilled of having those speakers in the house and you will have to wait some time for me to post a FULL NEUTRAL review for these speakers!

I had a pair of 800N for 3 years, I also had the 802D as fronts and they are BOTH extremely, I mean EXTREMELY! good speakers I love the sound of the kevlar mid and I do shure love the Diamond tweeter, for any of you who have any B&W speaker you are all set!

Now I want to tell you that I have a little problem, I get the Nauts at the same time with the 4 Classe amp and the Classe SACD2 so I'm not really shure about what is making the improvement and in wich level!

The one or two questions I have (when you get time), is more obviously they are great as main speakers. But once you get into HT usage, how to they mix with the HTM1D. Do they show a lacking of that speaker or still create a seamless soundstage.

The other question (again, later on after some time goes by) is do you think there's a "break-in" time, hopefully they sound unreal right now, but end up (in the next couple weeks) at a whole different level all together. I know my 604s that I have (hoping for 802Ds at some point), opened up amazing well after the first month or so of use... Just curious if these have the same phenominon to them.

Like I said, hopefully you can answer those later on down the line here.

About the soundstage, even thought I need more time to review that (I'm in an stereo stage now) I am shure it will not be an issue becouse I had a pair od N800's and the HTM1D for several months and everything sound great, but let's hear!
