I am moving to a new house that I have just built with a dedicated HT/Music Sound room, so I will have these pictures for you once in place ,as I am also awaiting the 70 Inch Plasma to go with this set up. I am currently running 803s and 804s and HTM1 until moving time ,and the 800D and 802D with HTM1D are being used in a very Inefficient way In combo with my above set-up in HT form ,so I am really having a serious Multichannel configuration ,but not at all optimum for my room ,as I added these speakers this Christmas. When I get to my NEW house I would love to show them off to you by Pic mode etc.. I can show you how they are set-up NOW, but you will have a feast on me as you would think I was some over Kill freak here!!
Yes ,I had been waiting for so long to get these speakers from the U.K. and they have finally arrived ,and I have not moved yet ,as they are doing all the last details on the house such as paint and wallpaper etc.. and the furniture has not been moved in yet!!!
Hope it will all goes smooth and soon!
      Cheers and thanks!

Chinets, I would like to think I can speak for many here at the B&W forum. We have nothing against over kill when it comes to audio equipment. ;x(

At very least we can live vicariously through you. Photos would be great! :T

Chinets, that is going to be one awesome system. ;x( :T ;x( I'm sure that you are experiencing sleepless nights in anticipation of being able to do your setup in your new house. Good luck with things there. I'm sure that all will go smooth & well. And ... when you're ready ... some pics would be great. Wishing you & your family a peaceful, prosperous and awesome 2007.

Acoustical treatments for me this year. My original plans were the 800D but thanks to a persuasive friend that happened prematurely in '06 but in a good way of course. LOL

Chinets, you have taken a quantum leap in your speaker upgrades and I can only imagine the satisfaction AND the frustration that you must be going through. You have the patience of Job and I commend you sir! :T Congratulations!

Now what do you have in store for the electronics end? I hope I am not pushing you too hard for an answer. LOL

                Dear Jeff,ShadowZA, and Rebelman:
Thanks for your kind wishes, and may GOD bless you all with lots of health, wealth, peace and love for the 2007 and of course all the B&W dreams and caviar equipment for you and ther family. :T
My deepest problem is I have the STUFF and not the ideal place to put it in, as they came earlier than expected, and so I can't have the optimal music set-up that I want, until I move into my NEW house where the configuration was specifically made for what I have ordered. I am combining my old with the new In a 7.1 set-up with the 804s as extra rear speakers and an HTM1 as a center back speaker and although I have a big room the speakers are all almost on top of each other because there is so much furniture that actually were not meant for these new spakers etc... As my wife is an Interior decorator she just does not want to move the furniture to accomodate these new beauties until I move to the new house ,where this specific set-up was meant for these New speakers. ;x(
RebelMan: Not pushing at all: I got two Mono blocks 2 Krell FPB 700cx for the 800D and FPB 400cx for the HTM1D and KAV theatre amplifier for the 802D, and of course I will keep my Rotel 1095 to run the 803s and 804s and HTM1 I had with the Rotel 1098 processor for those 803s and 804s speakers ,and The Krell showcase processor for the 800D and 802D and HTM1D. I have the DV 9600 Marantz as my DVD player and for SACD and DVD-A, and LINN Majestic CD player and Benchmark 1 DAC, I also have the Rotel 1072 with another Benchmark1 DAC, and I have ordered the Toshiba for HDVD which hasn't come yet and a Sony Blue Ray and of course my 70 Inch Plasma which all have not arrived yet. I will also venture into Classe equipment soon ,as I will be visiting there showroom In London shortly, That is if I actually replace all my Rotel gear that I wanted to sell soon once I moved but that is all in the air yet. I am as you see a serious Multichannel freak and love surround sound and I listen to almost everything In surround from SACD, DVD-A and HT or Music DVD in DTS and DD all the time. Different strokes for different folks I guess. This time when I move I will dedicate my 800D for Stereo listening with option to switch to Multichannel listening at a flick of a button ,as I get very fatigued when I listen to stereo for a long time, unless I enjoy the piece of Music immmensly ,otherwise it is all Multichannel for me. 8)
Sorry I am not a classic audiophile, but a Multichannel audiophile if you may. :W Well at least I try to be with my equipment that sounds like NIRVANA to me. ;x(
I again thank you all for your kind wishes and will have to post the pics anyhow so you will have too see the mess In that room, but I will definitely would rather love to show off this equipment once in the New house that I believe will be stunning. I am so patient with all this that it is eating me up inside to have a proper set-up where all falls into place nicely and get the best out of my system. I get cold sweats at night dreaming and waiting to have all my set-up properly put together professionally once I move into my new house...I can't wait!! :M
                Have a wonderful day,
                Cheers

Yes, and confused in the house I am in!! It worked extremely well when I had my "S" series 5.1 set-up In my current house ,and the sound was NIRVANA, but once I mixed the "D" series with "S" series in that T.V. room I have now, everything sounds too loud and muddled with too much speakers, stuff ,equipment, furniture in ONE room ,so when I move to my NEW house they will synergize properly ,as my room was made for the 2 set-ups put together in HT 7.1 configuration. Multichannel is so important to me, so I am in a mess now, but soon I will be in NIRVANA land again!!
Have you seen Alsdo's ( a forum member) set-up ...He is the show room guy..I am just trying to get to his level slowly!!! I lived vicariously through Aldo for a long time ,and now it has paid of.
                      Thanks and Cheers!

Chinets, what I'm about to recommend, may be considered by some as heresy, but why not box up the "D" series and continue with the "S" series until after the move. You said your self it was NIRVANA with the "s" series.

Once you get to the new home and perform the set up, the you will remember clearly what your system sounded like and better appreciate the giant step up you've taken. Listening to audio confusion and muddled presentation with such high end
                        equipment isn't right.

It's not like you'll be in the audio cellar with the "s" series. And frankly, it'll sound better than what you're now listening to. If I've understood what you've said.

                        Just my 2 cents

                          You are right Jeff,
However, I am like a child who has just opened his Christmas gifts under the tree, and can't wait to plug it in and play with it. That is what happened.
I also have No idea how long it will still take for my new house to be finished, so I really wanted to play with my new toys!! I had the itch!!! Too desperate.
You are right about using only the "S" series or jump right into th "D" series as my set-up. I might do just that, but since I live in Saudi ,I need to have these expensive pieces In A/C all the time for cooling purposes ,that is why I took them out of their boxes and had them installed in my current T.V. room to keep them cool In an A/C environment. If I put them in boxes, I will have to put them in my bedroom in an A/C room ,but I will be living in total clutter In my Bedroom. My storage room has A/C, but my equipment will not fit in it as we ( My Wife ) have expensive antiques in it for the new house etc... So I guess living with large boxes in my room would be a problem, but at least I will have a good sound system for how long it would take to move, and live in a total cluttered room for that length of time too..No diminish returns here!!. I agree with you Jeff totally!!
I will have to ask the wife NOW!!!! Got to pass it by congress first!! Ouch!! She hates all this equipment ,as she thought the 803s and 804s were more than enough to satisfy anyone ,so why did I go for the Kill and paid so much money. Women don't understand men's fascination with Hi Fi and cars and they are I admit, expensive hobbies!! They think it is a waste of money, but, HEY, when it comes to antiques, money is not an issue, even if you pay $20,000 for a ash tray that belonged to some chinese emperor or something...That to me does not make sense, because I can't interact with an ash tray !! Sorry for the rambling about things..but you get my point!
Thanks Jeff for your kind feed back!
                          Cheers

Chinets, I wholeheartedly support what you are doing. I would have done exactly the same. Even if you could not plug them in and use them ... just having them on display where you can see them is perfectly ok imho :T . Besides, by using them as you are managing to do ... it can be said that you are breaking them in so that by the time you move into your new house, they'll sound perfect from the word go.

Also ... good luck with "Congress" . My experience is that "Congress" (depending on psychological make-up & temperament) could tend to become more accepting as time moves on. Hang in there, one small step at a time & soon you'll be enjoying NIRVANA-D ... a new level of pleasure.

... diamonds are not only a GIRL's best friend. :P

Congratulations! I have a pair of 603s and love them. They are a great value imo.

My upgrade this year was fairly modest (but then, so is my system ), but I replaced a Denon receiver (DRA 395) with a Rotel RX-1052. I have to say that I *love* the Rotel and consider it a very worthwhile upgrade!

                                Thanks Sahdow ZA !

                                Shadow ZA,

Thanks as always for your kind words of wisdom! ;x(

Yes, breaking them in slowly was one of my excuses to get those boxes open and have them connected to my existing system ,plus I was so eager to see them on display ,whether they were hooked up or not.. To Fantasize a little is not bad for the soul!! :W

Yes, and you are 100% right...Diamonds are not Not only for women! In Hi Fi ,I believe it is man 's best friend! :T ;x(

The child in me yearns to play with his toys, and whether it sounds good or NOT is undisputed, as I have NOW a Kick ass HT system that is for sure. I'll have to wait to enjoy the correct Music or Stereo sound once I move!

Congress is calming down and more accepting ,as I spent a fortune on my I mean HER house!! And with the antiques and everything for the house, I guess she forgot those speakers and how much they cost...Thank God!! Happy camper In a crowded room full of B&W and Krell dreams!! ;x( :T :E

Where do I go from here: DISNEY WORLD!! 8O

Cheers Shadow Za and hope you and your dear family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Wishing you all the health and prosperity and thanks for your comforting words, as usual. ;x(

                                  by dan87951

We had everything hooked up to a Classe CA-201 amp, HK AVR520 pre-amp, Denon DVD-1920 dvd-player, and Rotel RCC-1055 CD changer all...

                                  Nautilus HTM2D? Yep.

                                  Nautilus 802's or 803D's

I remember the Nautilus 802's sounding phenomenal but it has been a year since I heard them in the dealer and when I went there today obviously they don't carry the Nautilus line anymore but did have...

Well, finally finished my home theater upgrade (well, except for a couple of plants and pictures to hang). But the Projector is up, screen is up and everything has been recalibrated!

                                  The details:

The family room. 13' x 14' area that opens up on one...
