    Great service from B&W

Might seem trivial, but yesterday I emailed through to get some boxes for my 803D's which are going to be transported to my new home.

The response to my request was super efficient and knew exactly what box I needed and they shipped them same day. Was £33 but to know the babies will be OK is important to me ...!

I have been emailing some other companies wanting to buy some of their goods but I tell you they make it very difficult for you to give them your money .... :M

I call that great service. McIntosh does the same thing. I don't see why they would ship out free boxes.

I got a free 'pen' sent to me to repair minor cabinet scratches after I contact Customer Service. I call that great service!

How does the pen work? Is it just like a Sharpee?

            Pretty much...a very skinny Sharpie.

I emailed B&W here in the States about 2 months ago and got zero response concerning that touch up pen. I guess I should talk to my dealer first.

What do you guys do with your Equipment Boxes?
                  by Bing Fung
I have been in the hobby or Audio for as far back as I can remember. I still have some of my original components in boxes.

They question is what do you guys do with your empty boxes?

Are they empty taking up space or are they full of other equipment, stuff, junk?...

HK Service Manuals available for download
                  by JorgenMan
It seems that Harman Kardon has their service manuals (not just owner's manuals) on the internet, although they don't post links to them. Here's how I found mine (an AVR40):

Go to the HK website, http://www.harmankardon.com/, and go to the support page, where you find the link to the...

I apologize for cluttering the board with what must appear to be such horribly noob like questions. But I must thank everybody in advance for all of the answers.

Okay, I am getting ready to start construction on my Modula MT's. The boxes are available at PE for $63 a box. THat comes...

                  Equipment Boxes and Packing Materials
                  by greenhorn
What the heck to do with them? Since upgrading I’m sitting with a lot (about 10 or so fairly large) original equipment boxes including the packing material and they are taking up significant space in the extra bedroom. Amp, PreAmp, Floor Standing Speakers… and the boxes and packing material from...

So often we forget what good service looks like.

I sent Mike Sheehan a lengthy email yesturday (Sunday) with a bunch of questions about the update. I would have been very happy just to get a response in a few days from the time I sent the email.

                  I recieved a response from...
