Hi, I am considering getting some aftermarket spikes for my 802D. Does anyone know the thread size and length required for the 802D???

If you don’t already have the spiking kit then your 802Ds won’t actually have any threads to accept spikes. You need to replace the caster wheels assemblies with the thread assemblies that come in the spike set first. Once you have done that the spike width is huge and looks very non-standard to me. I can’t be sure without tipping them over and removing them but from memory the thread is square in profile with 20mm diameter to the edge of the thread with a 2mil inset and groove width. Don’t take these measurements to be 100% I'm just posting them so you have an idea of how different these spikes are from the norm.
There is a picture here (link) of the set. In the foreground you can see a spike threaded into the thread assembly. For scale the assembly is 66mm diameter at its widest point.
PS sorry for the non standard thread measurements I don’t know the proper way to denote this.James- Bottom

I'd also be quite interested on this matter. I still have the casters on and a protection bellow not to damage the wooden floor. I thought about removing the casters and placing some sticky velcro or anything that enables me to move the speakers easely, but, there are some screws on the base so the velcro (or other) need to be a bit thick...

by GleneeDid I say that I was liking this McIntosh Equipment. I have had the MX135 for about 2 days. I went and bought a MVP-861 that I had to take back. I took a MCD201 CDP man that thing is really good canceled the 861 MVP and stayed with the MCD-201. Then I posted a thread on the difference between good and...-
