Difference between NHTM1 and HTM3S?

RCD, you surprise me, thought you would know this one.
The centres got the same treatment as the rest of the 800 range. Tweeters redesigned (similar to signatures I believe), first order crossovers, smoother more integrated sound etc.
Other than that there may be other differences, I have not researched beyond my comment above as I am at the 804s end of the market, which the HTM3 is supposed to suit.Mac 8gb SSD Audirvana ->Weiss INT202 firewire interface ->Naim DAC & XPS2 DR->Conrad Johnson CT5 & LP70S-> Vivid B1s. Nordost Valhalla cables & resonance management. (Still waiting for Paul Hynes PS:M)

I asked because I was looking at a cherry HTM3S and wasnt sure if it would match my N802s as well as the HTM1.
Well last night a cherry HTM1 popped up on Ebay, 30 mins away!! and i picked it up this morning before work!!! :B

I'm also in the same boat as RCD. Wondering if HTM3s would work better with N802s because of the improvements made to this model or whether I'm better off looking for an HTM-1.

Well, ive been jamming out for about a half hr right now and im grinnin from ear to ear!!!!
Man, love these things!!!
On a side note... yes I know you can see some cables... mine are backordered about another two weeks.. and my amp stands should show up this week. So yes, still progressing week to week.
Just need to put in two more outlets, bury some cables and im set!

I got a HTM3S to complement my 803s connected to Rotel RB-1080. After few hours of testing i realized that DENON 3808 dont have enough juice to drive HTM3S and i got a little bit dissapointed.. Anyway, my dealer borrow me another RB-1080 to try to drive HTM3S. Awesome difference.. Everything much better... -
I have a NHTM1 center channel, it was hooked to a B&K reference 7250 Series II amp which has now shorted out and fried for the 3rd time.
the first time the amp fried and shit down it was connected to this NHTM1, I have always felt the the center never really sounded that good afterwards... -
I just got my HTM3S today and holy clarity and detail batman! There's no comparing the 600 series center to the 800 series! Now I understand why some of the people with more experience with the higher end speakers where always ragging on the HTM61.... The difference is like going from a VHS tape the... -
I am trying to decide which is the better option
1. HTM3S + 804S + ASW825
2. HTM3S + 803S
The price is similar (a little more for option 1), and I know option 2 could be upgraded in the future with the ASW825, but I have to limit myself a little.

I spent about an hour comparing the HTM3S and the HTM4S at my local dealer today. They were each paired with the 803S's and the ASW825. I was using "The Haunting" as my demo DVD.
Not surprisingly, I found the HTM3S to sound better than the HTM4S (it was less "boxy"...
