I'm considering buying a pair of 8NTs to put in a room that is mostly decorated with authentic art deco pieces, an era that predates metal grills! Anyone have any success in replacing the metal grills with acoustic cloth? Advice appreciated

by CADman_ksI'm currently building a sub. It's a sealed box, and the sub I'm using is a Dayton RSS315HO-4. The box that I'm using has the sub frame flush with the outside of the box, but the surround sticks above that, about a 1/2" or so (I haven't actually measured it at this point). by vincebI have to make some grills for my kit 61s (my current woofers have been broom-handle magnets :O ), and the typical mdf grills are going to have some issues, since the baffle is relatively narrow there will be diffraction issues, etc. Looking at metal mesh from mcmastercarr.com, are there any issues...-

by CADman_ksFirst of all, let me say that I think that I hate this hobby!, or whatever is. :P It's more like an addiction! After getting my Stentorians done, I had to build something else, and now the hunt is on.
And, more importantly, I HAVE to have a reason to go out there and just listen to them. 8)
